As a way to foster team building and getting to know each other's non-work-related interests, we encourage people to sign up to give a social talk.
Talks are informal, that is something of personal interest, not related to your CS work. Examples of talks: Playing Go, Classical Dance, Travels from Ireland to India, Historical Wars, Soccer, Music, Indoor planting, Music, etc. We are quite a diverse community
