The RAD Lab occupies approximately 4100 square feet of space on south side of the 4th floor of Soda Hall that underwent major remodeling during the summer and early fall of 2006 with minor remodeling in the winter of 2011.

The RAD Lab is available for use by those in AMP, LoCal and affiliated research groups 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with occasional announced exceptions.

From 8:30AM to 4:30PM Mon-Fri, the door is unlocked. After hours and on weekends, the door is locked with access controlled by cardkey.

All members of the research groups hosted by the RAD Lab should have cardkey access.

If you do not yet have cardkey access, then either:

• Obtain the paper form from the Soda Hall Front Desk to be signed off on by RAD Lab Staff or your faculty advisor/sponsor and then returned to the Front Desk
• Send e-mail to RAD Lab Staff with either the first or last group of 5-6 numbers from the back of your CalID proximity card or the printed/written number from your white card key.

Card key access to those not in one of these groups is at the discretion of RAD Lab Faculty and Staff

The RAD Lab provides approximately 60 faculty, staff, students, postdocs, and their visitors with the following amenities:

• Desk space
• Meeting rooms
• Kitchenette
• Printers
• Fax Machines and Scanners - also info on Photocopying
• Bike Racks!
• Various Sundry Supplies

There are regular periodic Cleaning Days with lunch!

As in any shared space, there a number of social conventions etc, but basically, as the undergrads say - Don't be a hoser.
